The Application Engineering (AE) Division is charged with the responsibility to provide our clients with application software solutions which satisfy their business needs. In carrying out this responsibility the division offers the services as outlined below:

• Requirements Definition and Analysis – This entails assisting the client in defining their systems requirements and analysing those requirements to evolve a (conceptual) Business Design Document (BDD) for the area(s) under consideration.
  
  
• Functional Requirements Specification – This entails assisting the client in the specification of the functions, which will comprise the computerised system under consideration.
  
  
• System Design and Development – This entails the translation of the system specification and business rules into computer programs and functions to satisfy the clients’ requirements.
  
  
• Request For Proposals and Product Selection – This entails assisting clients in the construction of their invitation to tender (for computer goods and services) and in the evaluation and selection of such products as deemed appropriate.
  
  
• Process Re-engineering – This entails assisting clients in the reorganisation of their business processes consequent on the implementation of computer software solutions.
  
  
• Project Management Services – This entails assisting clients in the identification, scheduling and monitoring progress on the tasks to be undertaken in the development, acquisition and implementation of software solutions.
  
  
• Post Implementation Software Application Support – This entails effecting post implementation product enhancements and other on-going application user support as may be deemed necessary and appropriate.

The division is currently structured in a number of groups - such that each group provides all the services noted above – but for different application areas and or clients.
